One of the fundamentals that hasn’t changed in my time at DU is our focus on our primary teaching tool-our production season. Students learn and understand the process of theatre by producing plays. Our program stresses the importance of the collaborative process, and requires all students to participate not only as performers, but as designers, managers, craftspeople and builders. We typically do four productions in the Fall and Winter quarters- Spring focuses on Senior Capstones.
Each production is unique, and showcases the work of faculty, student and guest directors and designers, and the labor of majors and minors.
