This show had a number of challenges- it was a traditional box set (which the Interns have grown accustomed to) built on a full deck 3’ above the regular stage floor, and the proscenium dropped 8’ to provide long, narrow opening.

The designer wanted a claustrophobic “letterbox” feel to the play- it required some interesting engineering, accommodating lighting positions and the eccentric vintage lighting pipes of the Acoma Center.
